Who Did That? 🔍 History Workshop

In History, Owls have been learning about the War of the Roses. We were thrilled to learn more about this civil war from our visitor last week, Jackson from AS Creations. We loved getting into character of all the significant people involved in this era and then had fun role playing some important elements from the War of the Roses. See if you can guess, in our pictures below, who is acting out a rose, a crown, the Tower of London and a horse and knight.

⚡️ Science ⚡️

In Science, we have started learning about electricity. We loved investigating with a bulb, battery and two wires with the only instruction to get the bulb to light. We also explored what happened scientifically when we added another battery or another bulb or more wires. It was great using our scientific enquiry!

🐲 How to Train Your Dragon 🐲

In English, we have been reading How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. To our surprise, 33 dragon eggs broke into our classroom! We used our imaginations to visualize what our dragons were like. We have written fantastic descriptions about our dragons using expanded noun phrases and similes. For our final piece of work on this unit, we wrote a non-chronological report about our dragon's appearance, behaviour, habitat, magical powers and so on.

Have a look at our AMAZING reports!!

Sssshhhh! 🤫 We started our Sound topic in silence!

We have learnt lots in Science about how sounds are made and how sounds travel to reach our ears. Owls have even made their own musical instruments at home which we explored how they make a sound and if we can change the volume and pitch of the sound.
