Computing
We are loving our computing topic this half term! We have been using Google drawings to create various vector drawings. We have been learning the skills of drawing shapes, filling shapes, copy and paste, zoom to fit, rotate and editing the layers.
English
In English, we have been looking at the features of an explanation text. We have invented our own machines to make a meal to send to Tim Peake in space. Next, we will be using our knowledge to write an explanation text of how our machine works. Have a look next week to see our final results!
Gymnastics in PE this half term.
Maths
In maths, we have been learning the place value of 4 and 5 digit numbers. Today, we went outside to order these numbers in ascending and descending order. We also had *challenge cards* asking us to draw a number line with chalk and place the numbers in the correct places on the number line. Have a look at the fun we had!

Invasion Games in PE 26/9/22
Science
BLAST OFF!! In Science, we can describe the movement of the Earth, Sun and Moon and we went outside to create these as a human model. We know that it takes 365 days for the Earth to orbit the Sun and it takes 28 days for the Moon to orbit Earth. This week, we have also found out that the Earth rotates on it's axis and it takes 24 hours to complete a full rotation and this is how we get day and night. We also had fun making our own shadows on the playground as well and noticing how shadows are formed from the Sun.
