Me too!

We had a great first day in Herons, learning about things we have in common! We used the wool to show how we are all connected in different ways, through our likes, dislikes, things about our families and our hobbies.

This is us...

Shana Tova!

We have enjoyed starting the school year by celebrating the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah! We made cards for friends and family, and then tasted the traditional honey and apples. They were sweet! We said we are going to have a 'sweet' year in Herons! laugh

Summer Term

Armed Forces Day!

We have had ANOTHER exciting day in school, celebrating Armed Forces Day! We had a visit from Darren who used to be in the army, an indoor obstacle course, lots of class competitions (making paper airplanes and colouring and designing the Union Jack) and we even had a water balloon battle against Kingfishers Class!

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis

We had a fun day out learning lots about the animals we saw... snow leopards, meerkats, tarantulas, ants, butterflies, degus, snakes, bats and many more!

This term, our whole school topic is called "Jaws, Paws and Claws". We are excited to explore and learn lots of new things about different animals!

Meet the special visitors staying with us in Herons Class over the next few weeks! πŸ›πŸ’š

Tuesday 13th April 2021... What a ROARSOME day! We loved our ranger training, meeting the baby dinosaurs and... Zeus the T-Rex!

We LOVE our Monday morning yoga sessions. What a fantastic way to begin a new term! laughyes

Autumn Term

This term our Whole School topic is 'Home Sweet Home'! In Herons class our topic lessons will link together Geography, History, Science, Art, and DT.

So far this term, we have been busy learning lots about the United Kingdom. We have explored each country that makes up our United Kingdom, the different flags, capital cities and learnt lots of interesting facts too!

Here is our Curriculum Newsletter for the Autumn Term.

It's feeling very festive in Herons Class!
