"An Outstanding Church of England Primary School"

SIAMS inspection report, January 2014

A Christian family who encourage and equip one another to soar...

Thank you for visiting our school website. I hope that you will find the information on this site useful. Kirkland & Catterall St. Helen's is a Church of England school. We benefit from close proximity to the historic market town of Garstang, where together with Catterall, the farms of Kirkland and the village of Churchtown, most of our children are drawn.  We currently have 140 children, aged 4 to 11 on roll.

An extremely positive ethos and happy atmosphere permeates our school and we enjoy a close relationship with the local community including the 12th Century Parish Church of St. Helen's, Churchtown. Our children are brimming with enthusiasm and are hungry to learn, they are well-motivated, positive, caring and responsive, reflecting our strong Christian values and ethos. The school has very high standards and aspirations for each and every one of our children and we aim to be a school to which staff and children are proud to belong, which parents are pleased to support and where everyone feels valued and fulfilled.

If you are thinking of visiting us, I would be delighted to show you around - please get in touch using one of the contacts provided. To all our existing parents - we look forward to seeing you at our forthcoming events and thank you for your continued support.

Miss Michelle Southern

Our whole-school topic for summer term 2018 is:

Just one of the themes from our creative curriculum...

What a fantastic World Book Day all of our children have had!! We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather to create the right atmosphere for the eternal winter of Narnia. A certain Mr Tumnus wishes he'd worn his thermals though. Thank you to all parents and grandparents who have gone to so much trouble creating fabulous homemade costumes. It really does make a huge difference to our children (and grown up children) who have had a wonderful day through the wardrobe and beyond. For more pictures of the fun and games we had and all the wonderful costumes please see Gallery 2017-2018 or check out our twitter page @sthelenslancs.

Take a look at our fantastic library!
