"An Outstanding Church of England Primary School"

SIAMS inspection report, January 2014

Watch the 'Children In Need Rickshaw Challenge' pass our school!

On Monday afternoon, Eagles class accompanied by Mrs Selway, Mrs Jones, Mrs Woodhouse, Mrs Wood and Mrs Curwen waited patiently by the side of the A6 to greet BBC One Show's Matt Baker and his entourage as they rode past on their cycling journey to the River Clyde at Glasgow. We were all really excited to see the team who are raising money for Children In Need. Our children are now even more inspired to raise as much money as they can in school on Friday to help support Matt and the team and give help to those children whose need is greater than our own. You can watch the video of our children cheering Matt on in the player below.

A Christian family who encourage and equip one another to soar...

Thank you for visiting our school website. I hope that you will find the information on this site useful. Kirkland & Catterall St. Helen's is a Church of England school. We benefit from close proximity to the historic market town of Garstang, where together with Catterall, the farms of Kirkland and the village of Churchtown, most of our children are drawn.  We currently have 150 children, aged 4 to 11 on roll.

An extremely positive ethos and happy atmosphere permeates our school and we enjoy a close relationship with the local community including the 12th Century Parish Church of St. Helen's, Churchtown. Our children are brimming with enthusiasm and are hungry to learn, they are well-motivated, positive, caring and responsive, reflecting our strong Christian values and ethos. The school has very high standards and aspirations for each and every one of our children and we aim to be a school to which staff and children are proud to belong, which parents are pleased to support and where everyone feels valued and fulfilled.

If you are thinking of visiting us, I would be delighted to show you around - please get in touch using one of the contacts provided. To all our existing parents - we look forward to seeing you at our forthcoming events and thank you for your continued support.
