Letter from the Chair

Welcome to our school!

We are very proud of our popular and successful school and hope
that you find this reflected throughout our website. Here you can find everything from information on how to apply for a place to this week’s bang up to date St Helen’s Herald, from articles by the children themselves to, of course, staff profiles! You can also find links to the other community organisations with whom we work closely.

We are privileged here in so many ways; we enjoy a traditional, rural setting and yet we have beautiful and up to date school buildings, the latest learning resources and expansive sports facilities, we are a church school with that extra something that makes church schools so popular and the financial advantages of the St Helen’s school trust, and yet we enjoy living links with other cultures both locally and internationally which enable our pupils to grow in confidence as citizens of the world.

We have an outstanding leadership team, dedicated and proven staff, and yet the education and pastoral care of the children as individuals are at the heart of everything we do - I know because my children are here, they actively want to go to school in the morning and at the end of the day they like to stay and play!

In short, I commend this school to you, but must advise you that if you are thinking of applying for a place then it’s probably best to have a look at the relevant section on admissions as soon as you can.

If I can be of any further assistance, or if you have any concerns at all please email me or speak to me personally.

With all good wishes,

The Rev’d Andrew Wilkinson MA
Chair of Governors,
Vicar and Area Dean of Garstang
